Genuine Period Radiators, Restored to Order. Our restored cast iron radiators are genuine period originals — salvaged, then restored to order in our Stockport workshop using exactly the same process as our restoration service: you choose the size and finish, we strip it back and rebuild it, with new seals and ½” BSP bushes fitted.
Typically ready in four to six weeks depending on repairs and stock, with an estimated completion date given as soon as yours starts through the workshop — and backed, like everything we restore, by our 25-year Cast Iron Guarantee. Browse the colours on our finishes page, or size the room first with the free BTU calculator.

Restored Beeston Radiators
Made by the Beeston Boiler Company of Nottinghamshire, 1893 to 1976 — the name the reclamation trade links above all with the Princess, the plain round-topped radiator that warmed schools, libraries and public institutions across Britain. Ours comes in one, two or three columns. Read the Beeston story.

Restored Crane Radiators
Cast at Crane Ltd’s Nacton Road works in Ipswich, where cast iron radiator manufacture began in the early 1930s. A genuine Crane usually announces itself — the name cast on top of an end section, above the bush. Our restored Crane column radiator comes in two, four, six and nine columns, and restored Cranes join our ready-to-ship range whenever stock allows. Read the Crane story.

Restored NRC & Ideal Radiators
One Hull works, two names in the iron. The National Radiator Company built its Hull factory in 1906 as the British arm of the American Radiator Company; it became Ideal Boilers & Radiators in 1934 and Ideal Standard in 1953, and cast radiators at the same works until the mid-1970s. The mark even dates the casting: an NRC monogram points before 1934, the word IDEAL after it. Choose the Neo Classic — the column radiator the reclamation trade calls the most widespread vintage cast iron radiator in Britain — the Neo Classic School or the Princess. Read the NRC & Ideal Standard story.

Read in the Iron
The great foundries cast their names and marks straight into the metal — CRANE on the top of an end section, an NRC monogram or the word IDEAL on a bush end — and reading those marks is part of every restoration. Marks that have spent decades under paint become legible again when the radiator is blasted back to bare iron, and what the metal shows goes on its record, kept on file for the life of the guarantee. Not sure which pattern suits your building? Call us on 0161 843 8163 or reach us via the contact page and we’ll talk it through.
FAQs About Restored Cast Iron Radiators
What is a restored cast iron radiator?
A genuine period original, salvaged and restored to order in our Stockport workshop: shot-blasted back to bare iron, repaired where needed, pressure-tested to 4 bar and refinished in the finish you choose.
How long do restored cast iron radiators take?
Typically four to six weeks, depending on repairs and stock. We give you an estimated completion date as soon as your radiator starts through the workshop.
Can I choose the size?
Yes. Choose the height and the number of sections on each product page — from 5 up to 25 sections, depending on the model — and we restore your radiator to that size.
Which finishes can I choose?
Any of our finishes: our Classic colours, the Signature collection, any RAL or designer shade, bespoke metals or hand-polished. See them all on our finishes page.
Will a restored radiator work with modern heating?
Yes. We fit new ½” BSP bushes as standard, so your radiator is ready for modern systems and TRVs, and is compatible with heat pumps and condensing boilers. Not sure what heat output you need? Try our BTU calculator.
Are restored cast iron radiators guaranteed?
Yes — every one of our restored cast iron radiators is backed by our 25-year Cast Iron Guarantee.
How do I tell who made my radiator?
Look for the maker’s mark cast into the iron — CRANE on the top of an end section, an NRC monogram or the word IDEAL on a bush end. Marks hidden under old paint show again once the radiator is blasted back to bare iron.
Can you restore a radiator I already own?
Yes — that’s our restoration service. Send a few photos for a firm, verified quote.
Do you deliver restored cast iron radiators?
Yes, UK-wide. Delivery is calculated at checkout by the size and weight of your order, and orders over £1,500 qualify for free UK mainland delivery.
