Our Legal Bases

We process your information to perform a contract with you (orders, quotes, restoration work, and the emails that support them), to comply with legal obligations (tax and accounting records), and where we have a legitimate interest (answering enquiries, keeping the site working well, and preventing fraud) — always balanced against your rights. Where we ever rely on your consent — such as optional marketing emails or analytics cookies — we’ll ask you clearly first, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Sharing Your Data
We do not sell your data. We only share it with trusted third parties necessary to process your order or deliver our services — such as pallet delivery networks and couriers (who receive your name, delivery address and contact number to coordinate your delivery), our platform hosts, and our payment providers: WooCommerce Payments (Stripe), Klarna, Clearpay (Afterpay), Apple Pay and Google Pay, each of whom handles your payment under their own privacy policies and may transfer data outside the UK under legally recognised safeguards. If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is carried by Meta under its own privacy terms. If and when we add analytics or advertising cookies, information about your visit would also be shared with Google for analytics and advertising measurement, which may process it outside the UK under legally recognised safeguards — and never without your consent.
Cookies & Analytics
Essential cookies keep the site working — your shop basket and checkout, and preferences like light or dark mode. They’re always on, because the site can’t function without them.
We don’t currently use analytics or advertising cookies at all — nothing on this site measures your visit. If and when we add them, they’ll be optional: Google Analytics to help us understand how the site is used, and Google advertising tags to measure how well our advertising works. Nothing of that kind would be set until you accept it in the cookie banner — you could say no and use the site exactly the same, and change your mind at any time. No is a fine answer.
How We Protect Your Data
All payments are processed through secure, encrypted gateways. We do not store credit card details. Access to customer data is limited and protected through platform-level security tools.
How Long We Keep It
We keep order, quote and restoration records while we’re working together, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires — and for the life of our long-term guarantee, so a warranty claim years from now is simple to honour. Enquiries that don’t become an order are kept no longer than two years. Information we no longer need is deleted.
If You Apply for a Job
If you introduce yourself through our careers page, we collect your application details — your name and contact details, the trade you’re in, what you tell us about yourself, and your CV or profile link. We use them only to assess your application and to consider you for roles that come up later; they are never used for marketing. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in recruiting for the workshop, and — where you’re applying for a live vacancy — taking steps at your request before entering a contract. We keep speculative applications for 12 months and then delete them; ask us to remove yours sooner and we will.
