Deliveries & Collections

Cast iron radiators are heavy, so deliveries and collections take a little planning. Here’s exactly how each service works and what to have ready on the day — read the section that applies to you, and if anything is unclear, just ask.

Lead times

How long before your radiators are ready to leave us.

  • New radiators: hand-assembled to order in our Stockport workshop, typically ready in four to six weeks depending on model and stock.
  • Restorations: we aim to complete every restoration within four to six weeks, and we give you an estimated completion date as soon as your radiators start their journey through the workshop. Where extra work is needed — structural repairs, for example — it can take a little longer, and we’ll always tell you up front.
  • Radiators to Go: already through the workshop and finished — no build slot, no restoration queue — so there’s no wait for the work, only for the pallet to be booked.
  • Valves and accessories: in stock and sent by Royal Mail.
  • Delivery itself is booked once your radiators are ready, and we confirm the date with you before anything moves.

Pallet deliveries

How your radiators reach you.

  • Radiators are shipped on pallets through a national pallet network, on an HGV with a tail-lift. The haulage company will deliver the pallet as close as possible to your required position — usually the nearest hard-standing area.
  • The driver is under no obligation to remove items from the pallet or carry them into the property.
  • Tell us in advance about restricted access — no articulated lorries, narrow lanes, or a soft or gravelled driveway. If we aren’t notified in advance, or nobody is present to sign for the goods, a re-delivery fee may apply.
  • Cast iron is very heavy — please make sure sufficient manpower or lifting gear is available to unload the pallet.
  • Please unpack and check your radiators against the delivery note when they arrive, and note any visible damage with the driver where you can. If anything has been damaged in transit, please tell us as soon as reasonably possible — ideally within 3 days of delivery — so we can put things right quickly with the courier. Prompt reporting is a practical request, not a deadline: it does not affect your statutory rights in respect of faulty or damaged goods, including your 30-day right to reject under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
  • Timed and Saturday deliveries are available at an additional charge from the haulage company — contact us for details.
  • Small items such as valves and accessories are shipped by Royal Mail.
  • Delivery is calculated at checkout by the size and weight of your order — and orders over £1,500 qualify for free UK mainland delivery.

Pallet collections

For large items that aren’t boxed — typically radiators coming to us for restoration.

  • The delivery company can supply a pallet at collection (at a cost) if we’re made aware at least 24 hours before the collection date.
  • Collections are usually late afternoon, once the driver has finished their deliveries, so we can’t give an exact time — but we do ask the driver to call en route.
  • The driver is not insured to lift any items, and can only collect a pallet if the items are secured to it in a way that’s safe for transport. Ratchet straps can be supplied in advance where requested.
  • The vehicle has a tail-lift and a pallet trolley, so the driver can collect the pallet with minimal force — but it needs to be on the nearest hard surface to the kerbside. Pallets left far down a driveway, or on gravel or grass, may not be collected.
  • Collections may be made on any size of vehicle — if access is restricted (no articulated lorries, for example), tell us at least 24 hours before the collection date so we can advise the haulier.
  • If a pallet is supplied on collection, the driver can wait a maximum of 20 minutes while the items are loaded — please make sure there’s enough labour on site to place the radiators onto the pallet within that time.

Assisted courier service

A two-person crew who do the heavy lifting for you.

  • The assisted courier service collects and delivers your radiators with a crew of two, who can help move your disconnected radiators from a safe location in your home to the vehicle — and from the vehicle back into the house on delivery.
  • No pallet is needed for this service.
  • It costs more than the pallet service — the price depends on how many radiators you have, their size and weight, and your location.
  • There are limits to the size of radiator the crew can handle — check with us if yours is unusually large.
  • The courier always calls ahead with an approximate time for collection or delivery.
  • Get in touch for a quotation — [email protected].

Collect from the workshop — free

Local, or happy to drive? Pick your order up from us and pay nothing for delivery.

  • Choose Pickup at checkout and delivery costs you nothing — you collect from our workshop at Unit 8, Station Road Industrial Estate, Reddish, Stockport, Greater Manchester SK5 6ND.
  • We email you as soon as your order is ready, so please wait to hear from us before setting off.
  • Collections are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm; weekends by appointment.
  • Come prepared — a cast iron radiator is a two-person lift and needs a van rather than a car. Bring straps and something to protect the finish in transit.
  • Small items such as valves and accessories can be collected the same way, or sent by Royal Mail — whichever suits you.
