As a made-to-order radiator it has no legal 14-day cooling-off period, but we give you 30 days from delivery anyway to return it unused: we refund its price as supplied in a Classic finish, less a 30% restocking charge. Description

The Valve Tail Extension

A valve tail extension is the neat fix when a radiator valve lands short: it screws between the radiator’s ½” BSP bushing and the valve tail, moving the valve outwards by exactly the stated length. Chrome-finished, in four lengths.

When you need one

  • Pipework falls short: the tails don’t quite reach the radiator’s connections — an extension bridges the gap without re-piping.
  • Clearance: a deep radiator or tight recess leaves the valve head hard against the casting — an extension moves it out to where hands and thermostatic heads have room.

Lengths and fit

  • Four lengths: 10mm, 20mm, 30mm and 40mm — measure the shortfall between valve nut and bushing face and pick the nearest length up.
  • ½” BSP male to female, chrome-plated to sit unnoticed beside chrome and polished valves.

How long will my radiator take?

We aim to have your radiator ready within four to six weeks, and we give you an estimated completion date as soon as it starts its journey through our Stockport workshop.

Which finishes can I choose?

Classic (Black, White or Grey) is included. Signature covers our curated collection of over 20 colours. Custom is any RAL reference or a named designer shade from Little Greene, Farrow & Ball, Paint & Paper Library and the other houses we stock. Bespoke is our metallic and specialist hand-polished range. Your radiator is supplied in the finish you choose, and you can see them all on our finishes page.

How do I choose the right size?

Pick your columns, height and sections above and the readout shows the radiator’s size, weight and heat output. To work out the output each room needs, use our free BTU calculator, or call us on 0161 843 8163 and we’ll help you choose.

Will it work with my heating system?

Yes. It comes with ½” BSP bottom bushes as standard, so it’s ready for modern systems and thermostatic radiator valves, and it works with heat pumps and condensing boilers.

What guarantee comes with it?

Every cast iron radiator is covered by our 25-year Cast Iron Guarantee.

Do you deliver?

Yes. We deliver across the UK mainland, free on orders of £1,500 or more, or you’re welcome to collect from our Stockport workshop. See deliveries and collections.
