The Valve Tail Extension
A valve tail extension is the neat fix when a radiator valve lands short: it screws between the radiator’s ½” BSP bushing and the valve tail, moving the valve outwards by exactly the stated length. Chrome-finished, in four lengths.
When you need one
- Pipework falls short: the tails don’t quite reach the radiator’s connections — an extension bridges the gap without re-piping.
- Clearance: a deep radiator or tight recess leaves the valve head hard against the casting — an extension moves it out to where hands and thermostatic heads have room.
Lengths and fit
- Four lengths: 10mm, 20mm, 30mm and 40mm — measure the shortfall between valve nut and bushing face and pick the nearest length up.
- ½” BSP male to female, chrome-plated to sit unnoticed beside chrome and polished valves.
